Neumann 70th anniversary, limited edition U 87 microphone U87 Gold. It is the same specifications as the standard U 87 Ai. This is the 24 carat gold "Jubilee Edition".
The U 87 was originally introduced in 1967 as the first multi-pattern, large diaphragm, solid state microphone. For more than 30 years, the U 87 has been the industry standard for large diaphragm studio mics.

Because the U 87 Gold is a special edition, only 100 units will be available for sale in the U.S. and Latin America, beginning September, 1998.
